The denominator for this dashboard: records whose primary impression documents sepsis. Shared inclusion criteria (emergency response, ED destination, transported by this unit) are applied first.

Positive when at least 2 criteria are met from documented vitals: temperature >38.0°C or <36.0°C, heart rate >90, or respiratory rate >20. (WBC is hospital-only and excluded.) Thresholds editable in sepsis_config.py.

One point each for respiratory rate ≥22, systolic BP ≤100, and altered mentation (GCS <15). qSOFA ≥2 flags a high-risk patient who should reach a sepsis-capable center.

A record counts as a complete sepsis assessment when every required vital is documented (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, systolic BP, SpO₂). The required set is editable in sepsis_config.py.

Any affirmative pre-arrival alert documented for a suspected-sepsis patient. The alert rate is alerted cases over all suspected sepsis. An alert documented as a NON-sepsis type is counted but flagged as a documentation mismatch for review.

A normal-saline or lactated-ringers bolus identified by RXCUI in the medications-given field. The bundle measure is fluids given among SIRS-positive patients, where a bolus is expected.

A prehospital lactate value documented as a vital, or a lactate procedure performed. Lactate is a key early-sepsis severity marker where the system carries point-of-care testing.

End-tidal CO₂ documented. Low ETCO₂ correlates with elevated lactate and worse perfusion, so its documentation is tracked as part of the assessment bundle.

Percentage of transported suspected-sepsis patients delivered to a sepsis-capable center. Designation is resolved from the facilities file tags first, then a per-LEMSA fallback code set.
