DashboardDefinitions
How each Pre-Hospital Blood Product QI measure is computed, with the NEMSIS data elements each one reads shown alongside. Inclusion/exclusion thresholds, product codes, and injury buckets are editable per agency in blood_config.py.
Qualifying Patient (Inclusion)
A patient qualifies by ANY one path: (1) systolic BP below 70 or unobtainable; (2) systolic BP below 90 AND heart rate at or above 110; or (3) a healthcare-provider-witnessed traumatic cardiac arrest. Thresholds are editable per agency in blood_config.py.

Blood Product Given
A pre-hospital blood product (whole blood, PRBCs, plasma, platelets — whichever your system carries) identified by its configured product code in the medications-given field.

Utilization Rate
Blood product given as a percentage of qualifying patients (blood given + met-criteria-no-product). The headline effectiveness measure; target ≥ 80%.

Met Criteria — No Product Given

Protocol Exclusions
Removed from the denominator per protocol: under age 18, isolated head injury, ground-level fall, or an unwitnessed arrest. Editable in blood_config.py.

Injury Type Classification
Each qualifying patient is bucketed (GSW, stab/penetrating, motorcycle, pedestrian, MVC, fall, assault, other) by the first matching keyword set across the combined injury text. Order and keywords are editable.

TXA Documented
Whether tranexamic acid was administered — paired with blood product as part of the hemorrhage bundle; absence on a blood-product patient is flagged.

Documentation Flags
Per-patient QI flags on blood-product patients: too few post-infusion blood pressures, missing ETCO₂ on an advanced airway, or no TXA. Thresholds editable in blood_config.py.
